How to Join Different field of PN Cadet
Upon selection, candidates undergo two years of training at the Pakistan Navy Academy (PNA). Upon graduation from PNA, they become midshipmen and participate in a six-month practical training program aboard ships where they gain experience across various fields. Successful completion of this period results in their commissioning as sub-lieutenants.

Sub-lieutenant officers from the Operations Branch are enrolled in a 2.5-year electronics engineering program at NUST’s Naval Engineering College. After completing their studies, they receive focused training at various academies within the Pakistan Navy that covers crucial subjects such as Surface Warfare, Electronic Warfare, Communications and Navigation operations along with Underwater Warfare practices.
- Logistic Branch Officers
sub-lieutenants join the School of Logistics & management. After two years of training, these officers earned a degree BBA (Hons) and joined ships for certification for their competency.
- NBCD
sub-lieutenants join this educational and professional training course. After this course, officers on ships obtained watch-keeping certificates.

Inelgibility criteria

- candidates with a history of offensive, illegal court activity are disqualified
- candidates with unfit medical reports are not accepted into the Pak Navy
- Candidates dismissed from any government sector are not accepted
Educational Criteria to Join Pak Navy as PN Cadet
To Join the Pakistan Navy as a PN Cadet Candidates must pass matric with FSC or O/A Level with a minimum of 60% marks in the following subjects:
- Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry
- Computer Science, Physics and Maths
- Physics, Maths, and Statistics
O/A level Candidates must have to submit equivalency certificates.
Candidates who have appeared in FSC Part 1 and obtained at least 65% marks can apply for admission. They will need to submit a certificate of hope from the head of their respective college or institute.
Candidates, who are unable to achieve a score of 60% despite submitting a Hope Certificate, will be eliminated at any point during the selection procedure or expelled while undergoing training.
Baloch candidates are allowed a 10% relaxation in the required FSC/A-Level marks, allowing them to apply with a minimum of 50%, which is comparatively lower than other applicants.

Admission Test Date
The relevant PNR&SC will announce the admission test date via their website. The date for the admission test would be implied to each Person through SMS by the respective PN Recruitment and Selection Center
E- Testing
To begin with, candidates must take an entry test lasting 110 minutes. The exam comprises two segments: an intelligence test that applicants have half-hour to complete and a minute-long academic evaluation covering Mathematics, English, Physics, and General Knowledge topics. Aspiring individuals will be informed of the entrance examination date by their corresponding PNR&SC using the website platform. Electronic testing based on specific computer-based subjects is conducted during this portion of the assessment process.

Physical Test

Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB)
Only shortlisted candidates according to merit would be called for Tests/interviews at ISSB. Medical Examinations of ISSB-recommended candidates would be held at the closest CMH/Naval Hospital. The details of this test are given below.
Initial Interview
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be summoned for evaluations and interviews at ISSB. The first set of interview papers are issued to candidates on the day of their physical examination. Demonstrating self-assurance and concentration is crucial in acing the preliminary assessment. After clearing it, applicants must submit their ISSB forms before moving ahead with a wait time spanning 1-2 months until they undertake tests conducted by ISSB.
Initial Medical Test
According to the Pakistan Navy, aspiring PN Cadet program participants must have a height of at least 5 feet and 6 inches. Your weight will be evaluated using the BMI (Body Mass Index) chart. The initial evaluation along with physical examination would take place at Pak Navy Selection Center.
Candidates recommended by the Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) will receive comprehensive medical evaluations at nearby Combined Military Hospitals (CMH).
Final Selection
